Critics are raving about the preview showing of “Benelli su Benelli” at the Sala Laguna, organized by the Giornate degli Autori in collaboration with Isola Edipo, as part of the 78th Venice Film Festival.
Celebrated for its exceptional cast, the film features the narrative flair of Neri Marcoré, twice David di Donatello Award nominated, world renowned Giacomo Agostini (motorcycling titleholder 15 world championships), and flaunts the on screen talents of Pesaro native Alessandro Gimelli, in the lead role of Tonino Benelli.
Brought to life by a leading team of women of the film industry, screenwriter Annapaola Fabbri and directed by Marta Miniucchi, the movie provides an interesting and important snapshot of Italian history: "Italy between two world wars, the birth of the motorcycle industry and the myth of speed emphasized by Italian futurism ". A must-see masterpiece that will soon hit the theatres and major television channels such as Rai and Sky.
CMT is proud to have taken part in the sponsorship of this cinematographic gem, which chronicles a distinct passion for mechanics, ignited by Tonino Benelli and immortalized by CMT Utensili founder, Osvaldo Tommassini. A passion that, on the eve our 60th anniversary, remains strong thanks to the influence of a sport legend who “gave wings and poetry to Italian motorcycling”.
